"Mayan I" sculpture by Noah Savett

$1,000.00

2006
5" x 4.5" x 5.5"
Bronze

Experience the timeless beauty and cultural richness of the Mayan people with "Mayan I," a poignant sculpture by Noah Savett. Created in 2006, this bronze masterpiece is inspired by a life-changing event in 1983 when Noah was shipwrecked on the southern coast of Mexico. For 70 days, he lived among the Mayan people, forming a deep connection with their culture and way of life.

Though the southern coast of Mexico remains a paradise in his memories, Noah's love for the Mayan people has never faded, even though he never returned due to an incident with a group of  cartel members and a bottle of Tequila.
